[Step by Step] Hair Colouring Tutorial

Description

Here's a little .gif step by step tutorial on how I colour the hair~ This is not the only way to colour hair, this is just how I do it!

First of all, I use the program Paint Tool Sai. It's easy to use and is not complicated at all~
Steps:
:bulletgreen: Step 1: Pick a base colour and colour the hair in
:bulletred: Step 2: In a new layer, take a darker shade of that colour and, using the airbrush, gently colour in spots that should be darker.
:bulletpurple: Step 3: Using a slightly darker colour than the one used in the previous step and creating a new layer - use the water colour tool and colour in certain parts of the hair. Afterwards still using the water colour tool, gently go over the lines use just made to blend them in.
:bulletwhite: Step 4: Copy step 4 but with a darker shade and a smaller brush.
:bulletblack: Step 5: Use a darker shade, new layer and continue using the water brush. Instead of pressing lightly - put a lot of pressure so that the lines become darker. Do not shade/blur these lines. Make sure to use a smaller brush than the one before.
:bulletblue: Step 6: Create a new layer and select the airbrush tool. Pick a lighter colour than your base - even a different colour (for mine I used a really light green although it doesn't look like it!!!). Brush the edges of the hair and areas you think the hair will be lighter. Select the water brush tool and blend the lines in even more if necessary.
:bulletpink: Step 7: In a new layer, using the water tool and with a darker colour that's not the same as your base colour - lightly shade parts you wish to be darker. In order for it to stand out more, I choose a different colour than my base - a dark purple.
:bulletorange: Step 8: Create a new layer and pick a light yellow colour. With the pen tool (and with a very small brush size) - create squiggly lines in the hair of the drawing~

Now your done!
